Shipping Options

1. Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo)

RoRo is one of the most popular and cost-effective methods for shipping vehicles. Here’s how it works:

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Open an Account: Email us your full name (as per your passport/national ID), mobile number, email address, and full address at info@lontexcargo.com. We will send you a one-time password to your mobile number for account verification.
2. Quotation and Invoicing: Email us your vehicles Log book. Dimensions, wheelbase and destination to get a quotation.
3. Invoicing, Full Payment and Booking: Once you accept the quotation, we will issue an invoice and send it to you. Please note that full payment is required prior to booking the vehicle with the shipping line.
4. Inspection and Delivery to Port: Get the inspection done (we can help you with the booking) and deliver your vehicle to the designated port 
5. Loading: Your vehicle will be driven onto the RoRo vessel and secured for transport.
6. Transport: The vessel sails to the destination port.
7. Bill of Lading: When your bill of Lading arrives at our Barking office you can either come and collect it by yourself or we can send it to our Kisenyi warehouse in Kampala.

2. Container Shipping

Container shipping provides an extra layer of protection for your vehicle, making it an excellent option for high-value or delicate vehicles.

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Open an Account: Email us your full name (as per your passport/national ID), mobile number, email address, and full address at info@lontexcargo.com. We will send you a one-time password to your mobile number for account verification.
2. Quote and Booking: Contact us to receive a quote based on the container size and destination.
3. Preparation: Prepare your vehicle for shipping by removing personal items and securing loose parts.
4. Delivery to Yard: Bring your vehicle to our yard in Barking or another agreed location.
5. Loading into Container: We will safely load your vehicle into a container.
6. Documentation: Provide us with the log books and packing list
7. Transport to Port: The loaded container is transported to the shipping port.
8. Shipping: The container is loaded onto the vessel for transport to the destination.
9. Delivery: Upon arrival, we will coordinate the pickup or delivery of your vehicle.

3. Air Freight

For those who need expedited shipping, air freight is the fastest option available, though it may be more costly.

Step-by-Step Process:

2. Quotation and Invoicing:  Email us your vehicles Log book. Dimensions, wheelbase and destination to get a quotation.

4. Preparation: Similar to container shipping, prepare your vehicle by removing personal items.
5. Delivery to Airport: Deliver your vehicle to the designated airport or arrange for us to pick it up.
6. Loading for Air Transport: We will secure your vehicle for safe transport in the aircraft.
7. Flight: Your vehicle is flown to the destination airport.
8. Airway Bill: We will email you a copy of the Airway bill once your vehicle has been dispatched.
